Mr Zeiad El Gizawy is a highly regarded consultant gynaecologist who specialises in menstrual disorders, endometriosis, painful periods, pelvic pain, fibroids, and fertility treatments. With over 20 years’ experience, Mr El Gizawy is highly proficient in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopy and robotic surgery, and is also an accredited endometriosis surgeon with the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy.
Mr El Gizawy, who consults privately at the renowned Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital, Brampton Medical, and Rowley Hall Hospital, originally qualified from Ain Shams University in 1999. He undertook higher specialist gynaecology training on the distinguished West Midlands Deanery before going on to accomplish two prestigious fellowships in advanced robotic gynaecology surgery in Strasbourg and Paris. Furthermore, Mr El Gizawy has a postgraduate diploma in advanced gynaecology endoscopy from the University of Surrey, and is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists since 2021.
Alongside his surgical commitments, Mr El Gizawy is a prominent clinical researcher and the principal investigator for multicentre studies in endometriosis, premenstrual syndrome, and pelvic surgery. He is also a committed medical trainer, and served as clinical lecturer for Keele University for three years during which he additionally obtained a postgraduate diploma in medical education. As a specialist, Mr El Gizawy is passionate about raising endometriosis awareness and, in his clinical practice, collaborates in partnership with his patients to achieve a holistic approach to treatment.
